Cleveland Host Faces Domestic Violence Charges

GOOD KARMA Sports WKNR-A (ESPN 850)/CLEVELAND host and FOX affiliate WJW-TV/CLEVELAND sports anchor TONY RIZZO was arrested on domestic violence charges on FRIDAY night (12/6), the TV station reported MONDAY.

Police in MEDINA, OH arrested RIZZO after his wife called 911 to report that she was allegedly attacked.

A statement by WKNR provided to the TV station read, "We do not believe it is appropriate to comment on TONY’s personal life. TONY is an exemplary teammate and member of the community and his status with us is unaffected.”

OHIO MEDIA WATCH reports that RIZZO was on the air MONDAY and said, “It’s the first time in my life I’ve ever been arrested. I’m absolutely humiliated, but I want you to know that I did nothing wrong.”
