CBS Radio Country WQYK/Tampa MD JAY ROBERTS has announced his retirement and plans leave the station at the end of the MONTH.
CBS Radio/TAMPA VP/Programming BRIAN THOMAS, who also handles day-to-day PD chores for 'QYK will assume music responsibilities while seeking help internally.
ROBERTS first joined WQYK in 1973 before moving to crosstown Country WSUN. He returned to 'QYK in the late 80s and has remained there since.
No word on his future plans.
