Spotify Mobile App Service Goes Free, Service Adds Led Zeppelin Catalog

SPOTIFY has converted its smartphone and tablet apps to free service, in the manner of the customized streaming music service's desktop app. The service will now be available for free on the mobile apps, with all music on demand. The premium subscription version continues to offer ad-free listening, offline mode, and control of home audio through SPOTIFY CONNECT.
CEO DANIEL EK said, “Today we’re giving people the best free music experience in the history of the smartphone and the tablet. Whether you're going to the gym, or having a party with friends. Just sit back and let SPOTIFY serve you great music for every moment of your life.”
The service has added 20 new markets TODAY, bringing its total to 55.
In addition, SPOTIFY has reached agreement to add LED ZEPPELIN's catalog for streaming. The band's first two albums are available TODAY, with additional albums being added all week; the full catalog will be online by SUNDAY (12/15).
