SiriusXM Honors Nelson Mandela With Special Weekend Channel

Amid the worldwide outpouring of emotion since the death of iconic former South African President NELSON MANDELA, SIRIUSXM will offer a three-day special NELSON MANDELA Music Tribute Channel. The channel will launch FRIDAY, DECEMBER 13th at noon, and run through SUNDAY, DECEMBER 15th on channel 111.

The channel will pay its respect to the life and legacy of the legendary civil rights trailblazer. STING, BONO, STEVIE WONDER, ALICIA KEYS, PAUL SIMON, and HUGH MASEKELA are among the artists who will provide musical tributes. The channel will also play songs that reflect MANDELA's history of fighting for race equality, redemption, and change from artists that include BOB MARLEY, CARLOS SANTANA, and R. KELLY.
