B95.1/Ventura's Canned Goods Christmas Trees Help The Needy

CUMULUS Hot AC KBBY (B95.1)/VENTURA partnered with VENTURA COUNTY food bank FOOD SHARE to collect canned food and build the cans into CHRISTMAS trees DECEMBER 7-8.  JOHN TESH dropped by the B95.1 Holiday Studio at THE COLLECTION AT ROVERPARK in OXNARD to support the effort.

PD ANGIE HANDA told ALL ACCESS that the event "was a huge success!  Over 100 trees built with plenty of cans still in the bins.  That's up from 75 trees last year!  Each tree consisted of over 800 cans, and the number of donations was staggering.  No family will go hungry in VENTURA COUNTY this holiday season!

"The JOHN TESH appearance to support our canned food drive was amazing.  (Morning host) SCOTT (ALEXANDER) did interviews with JOHN and BONNIE (WEIGEL, President/CEO) from FOOD SHARE, and they sounded great.  JOHN's appearance was a big help to keep the momentum going after the big weekend."
