CBS/LOS ANGELES is the latest of the company's clusters to wield the budget ax, with four employees exiting.
LARADIO.COM reports, "BOB MALIK, newsman in morning drive for the GARY BRYAN Show at [Classic Hits KRTH] K-EARTH, is available. BOB started as a part-time jock 12 years ago, but for the past decade he has been providing the morning news." “I think the world of him,” PD RICK THOMAS told the website. “BOB is a wonderful human being who via his uniquely contemporary style, helped hard news work on a music format. That is not something you see every much nowadays. It was BOB who made that work.”
Also out is News KNX-A traffic reporter TOMMY JAXSON, also with an unnamed person in the traffic/continuity department and one engineer.
