Last night, NBC-TV's "The Voice" named TESSANNE CHIN, a 28-year-old singer from KINGSTON, JAMAICA, as its Season 5 winner.
USA TODAY reports, "CHIN, whose parents are musicians and who sang backup for reggae artist JIMMY CLIFF, was the only remaining finalist who got all four judges (ADAM LEVINE, CHRISTINA AGUILERA, BLAKE SHELTON and CEELO GREEN) to turn their chairs during the blind audition when she performed 'Try' by P!NK."
The show will return in FEBRUARY for Season 6, with current coaches CHRISTINA AGUILERA and CEE LO GREEN being joined by SHAKIRA and USHER.
