CBS RADIO Sports WIP-F/PHILADELPHIA is replacing GLEN MACNOW as afternoon co-host with evening host ROB ELLIS, who will be paired with incumbent ANTHONY GARGANO for 1-6p (ET) weekdays effective JANUARY 3rd. Sister Sports KILT-A/HOUSTON host JOSH INNES is joining the lineup to take over the 6-10p slot. WIP OM ANDY BLOOM said, “ROB is an outstanding broadcaster whose talent has been recognized by the local media, listeners and PHILADELPHIA’s biggest names in sports. Pairing him with ‘THE CUZ’ (GARGANO) creates a one-of-a-kind combination of sports savants who will deliver a wildly entertaining program each day.”
ELLIS added, "I am thrilled and excited for the opportunity to move to afternoons with ANTHONY, who I consider the voice of PHILADELPHIA sports, I’m looking forward to sharing with listeners the compelling sports dramas that unfold every day.”
On the addition of INNES, BLOOM said, "JOSH has the sports knowledge and strong opinions that are consistent with the original DNA of WIP. Fans of SPORTSRADIO 94WIP will appreciate JOSH’s style and instantly connect to his personality.”
“I’m pleased we have reached an agreement with GLEN that supports his relationship with WIP, and also allows us to increase his presence within the CBS RADIO/PHILLY family of stations,” said SVP/Market Mgr. MARC RAYFIELD on MACNOW's contract. “Being able to use his expertise across more of our platforms is a real win for our stations, the listeners and PHILADELPHIA’s passionate sports fan base.”
