Lotus Buys New Reno AM

HUTH PENNEY BROADCASTING LLC is selling the construction permit for KFOY-A/SPARKS-RENO, NV to LOTUS RADIO CORP. for $200,000.  The new station is under program test authority and an LMA to LOTUS.

In other filings with the FCC, GREELEY BROADCASTING CORPORATION is selling KLMI/ROCK RIVER, WY to WOLF CREEK RADIO BROADCASTING, LLC for $161,200.  The buyer already operates the station under an LMA, and the sale "affirmatively settles any and all prior disputes between the Seller and Buyer with regard to liability for repairs and upgrades" at the station.

LIBERTY UNIVERSITY, INC. is selling noncommercial Religion WVRS/GORE, VA to TIMBER RIDGE MINISTRIES, INC. for $30,000.  The seller owns two FM translators in the area, W208AD/WINCHESTER and W255CK/FRONT ROYAL, which will switch their primary stations from WVRS to the HD-3 channel of CLEAR CHANNEL Country WUSQ (Q102)/WINCHESTER, VA, on which LIBERTY will feed its VICTORY FM Religion format to the translators.

NEW LIFE EVANGELISTIC CENTER, INC. is selling Religion WINU-A/SHELBYVILLE, IL to RANDY MILLER's KASKASKIA BROADCASTING, INC. for $175,000.

EDGEWATER BROADCASTING, INC. is selling FM translator W256CB/BEAUFORT, SC to APEX BROADCASTING, INC. for $35,000.

JENNIFER CREMEENS has applied for a Silent STA for KJJB/EAGLE LAKE, TX due to loss of its tower lease.

And ART and JEANNE RIVKIN's A & J MEDIA LLC has closed on the sale of AC KAJR (95.9 THE OASIS)/INDIAN WELLS-PALM SPRINGS, CA to TODD and MARGARET MARKER's R M BROADCASTING, LLC for $600,000.  The buyers have operated the station under a Time Brokerage Agreement since 2010.
