Teen pop demi-God JUSTIN BIEBER put a coal in his fans' CHRISTMAS stocking by tweeting on CHRISTMAS EVE that he intends to retire. Soon thereafter, THE HUFFINGTON POST reports, he re-lit his 48 million followers' desires with two more tweets that seemed to contradict his retirement message.

The contradiction is not new. BEEBS previously told KPWR (POWER 106)/LOS ANGELES morning host BIG BOY that he was "actually retiring, man," -- only to be contradicted by his own sources to other media outlets. His manager, SCOOTER BRAUN, told KIIS/LOS ANGELES morning host RYAN SEACREST on DEC. 18th that a hiatus was in the works after YESTERDAY's debut of the film documentary, "JUSTIN BIEBER's Believe."

"I'm telling him after this movie, I want him to take next year off and just take a break and he can still live in the studio and work on the next album, which is what he wants to do, but I just want him to take some time to himself, so he can have that time alone because he's been working since he was 12 years old," BRAUN said.
