CBS RADIO Country WUSN (US 99.5)/CHICAGO has decided not to renew the contact of 27-year station vet TRISH BIONDO; multiple reports indicate that apparently due to "non-economic issues." PD JEFF KAPUGI told ROBERT FEDER that LAURA TAYLOR and other part-timers will assume BIONDO's midday shift

CHICAGORADIOANDMEDIA.COM reports that BIONDO -- who previously worked as MD, Production and Research Dir., as well as a variety of on-air shifts -- was asked by the station last year to do her on-air shift at the station's downtown studio. BIONDO preferred to work at home to spend more time with her family. The station eventually agreed to a one-year extension last year; apparently they refused to renew her contract when she continued hold firm on not working regularly from the studio in 2014.
