EDGEWATER BROADCASTING, INC. is selling FM translator K233CO/OMAHA, NE to SALEM MEDIA OF ILLINOIS, LLC for $225,000. The translator will rebroadcast Religion KCRO-A/OMAHA.
In other filings with the FCC, WESTERN BROADCASTING, LS, LLC is selling KURR/INDIAN SPRINGS, NV to G. CRAIG HANSON's MEDIA ADVISORS, LLC for $220,000 plus an LMA before closing.
COUNTRY ROAD PRODUCTIONS is selling Talk WIMO-A/WINDER, GA to JEFFREY TAYLOR BATTEN's BARROW RADIO BROADCASTING LLC for $111,500.
FIRST NATCHEZ RADIO GROUP INC. has requested an extension of its Silent STA for WWUU/WASHINGTON, MS while it awaits the building of its new tower.
ALLEGHENY MOUNTAIN NETWORK has closed on the sale of Talk WEEO-F (FM TALK 103.7)/MCCONNELLSBURG, PA to MICHAEL M. STAPLEFORD's MAGNUM BROADCASTING, INC. for $400,695.74.
CENTRAL MICHIGAN COMMUNICATIONS, INC has closed on the sale of Talk WMMI-A/SHEPHERD, MI and Adult Hits WCZY-F (MY 104.3)/MOUNT PLEASANT, MI to LATITUDE MEDIA, LLC for $774,000 plus a $5,000 noncompete covenant.
CLEAR CHANNEL's CITICASTERS LICENSES, INC. has closed on the sale of five stations in the GREEN BAY market to CUMULUS LICENSING LLC based on a 2009 put agreement that included an LMA back to CUMULUS, at a put price of $17,636,643. The cluster includes Sports WDUZ-A (THE FAN) and Hot AC WQLH (STAR 98)/GREEN BAY, Sports WDUZ-F (THE FAN)/BRILLION, Classic Hits WOGB/REEDSVILLE, and Country WPCK (NASH FM)/DENMARK.
And MEGAN LIGHTFOOT has closed on the transfer of her 1/3 interest in GEORGIA-CAROLINA WIRELESS, LLC, licensee of Silent WLTE/PENDLETON, SC, to partners DOUGLAS M. SUTTON, JR. and M. TERRY CARTER for assumption of debt. SUTTON and CARTER each have 50% of the company after the transaction.
In a deal yet to be filed with the FCC that saves PAMAL BROADCASTING WGHQ-A/KINGSTON, NY from shutting down, PAMAL is selling the station to public radio broadcaster TRI-STATE PUBLIC COMMUNICATIONS, which operates noncommercial WLHV (ROBIN HOOD RADIO)/ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, NY, for an undisclosed price, reports the DAILY FREEMAN. The station will simulcast WLHV and will also continue to air the local KINGSTON COMMUNITY RADIO programming 7-9a (ET) weekdays.
In another deal yet to be filed with the Commission, the AUSTIN AMERICAN-STATESMAN reports that BOB COLE's GENUINE AUSTIN RADIO, LP is buying Sports-Classic Hits KTXX-F-KWNX-A (104.9 THE HORN)/AUSTIN from TOTAL AUSTIN SPORTS RADIO for an undisclosed price. As part of the changes, host SEAN ADAMS exits, but CHIP BROWN and CHAD HASTINGS remain in mornings, BUCKY GODBOLT and ERIN HOGAN continue in afternoon drive, and ALEX LOEB will continue with the station in another capacity.
Also yet to show up in the FCC database, BARRY DRAKE's BACKYARD BROADCASTING WILLIAMSPORT LICENSEE, LLC and SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT SABRECOM, INC. have closed on the sale of Country WILQ, Hot AC WLMY, News WWPA-A, and FM translator W267BJ/WILLIAMSPORT; Oldies WBZD (OLDIEZ 93)/MUNCY, PA; Rock WZXR/SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, PA; and Rock WCXR/LEWISBURG, PA to BACKYARD BROADCASTING PA, LLC, a new company headed by longtime BACKYARD VP/GM DAN FARR, for $5.5 million. KALIL AND CO. served as exclusive broker for the deal.
