WGN Inks David Kaplan To Renewal Deal

TRIBUNE Talk WGN-A/CHICAGO has inked sports host and reporter DAVID KAPLAN to a multi-year contract renewal. KAPLAN, with WGN for 18 years, moves to 7-10p weeknights (CT) on MONDAY (1/6) from 7-11p.
KAPLAN said, "It’s a thrill to continue my career at WGN Radio where I have spent the last 18+ years. I’m thankful to work for the best mind in radio, (President and GM) JIMMY DE CASTRO, and I’m blessed to be able to talk sports in my hometown of CHICAGO on the best radio station in AMERICA.”
Sports Director DAVE EANET said, “We’re delighted that KAP will be part of WGN Radio for years to come. He’s been a valuable part of our sports programming for almost two decades. As a friend and colleague, it’s great to have him staying on the team at WGN Radio.”
DE CASTRO added, “We are driven to deliver live and local programming to our listeners. KAP has his finger on the pulse of CHICAGO sports and we’re excited for him to be a part of our multidimensional future.”
