Former UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA and NFL quarterback TIM TEBOW's deal to join ESPN's new SEC NETWORK as an analyst includes appearances on ESPN RADIO and other ESPN media platforms. TEBOW debuts on the network on MONDAY (1/6) on the pregame coverage of the BCS National Championship game and will primarily serve as an analyst on the SEC NETWORK's "SEC NATION" traveling pregame show starting in AUGUST alongside host JOE TESSITORE.
SVP/Programming, College Networks JUSTIN CONNOLLY said, “TIM is a SEC icon with a national fan base and broad appeal. He will be a significant contributor to the compelling content we will deliver with the SEC NETWORK. TIM brings a wealth of knowledge about the game, the conference and the passion among SEC fans.”
TEBOW added, “I am so excited that ESPN has given me this incredible opportunity, When I was six years old I fell in love with the game of football, and while I continue to pursue my dream of playing quarterback in the NFL, this is an amazing opportunity to be part of the unparalleled passion of college football and the SEC.”
The network said that TEBOW will not be precluded from continuing to pursue his playing career. TEBOW was cut by the NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS this season and played for the DENVER BRONCOS and NEW YORK JETS after winning the HEISMAN TROPHY and two BCS championships with the GATORS.
