Evan Dawson Named Midday Host At WXXI-A/Rochester

ABC affiliate WHAM-TV/ROCHESTER news anchor/reporter EVAN DAWSON has joined WXXI PUBLIC BROADCASTING noncommercial News-Talk WXXI-A/ROCHESTER as host of the midday "CONNECTIONS WITH EVAN DAWSON" (formerly "1370 CONNECTION"), airing noon-2p (ET) starting MONDAY (1/6).

DAWSON takes over from BOB SMITH, who left the show as he recovers from a stroke suffered last SPRING.

DAWSON has been with WHAM-TV as a reporter since 2003 and has served as morning news anchor at the TV station for the last six years.
