ALL ACCESS sends our best thoughts to INGSTAD Country KXDD/YAKIMA afternoon personality JOEL "JB" BAKER, who is scheduled to undergo extensive oral surgery TODAY (1/3) with a procedure  which involves the removal of a cancerous growth at the base of his tongue.

According to a story in TODAY’s YAKIMA HERALD REPUBLIC, BAKER’s 10-hour operation will be followed by weeks of chemotherapy, all of which could possibly take his voice away permanently.  BAKER’s wife KELLY is quoted in the HERALD article saying, “The doctor said, ‘I wouldn’t be surprised if you can’t talk again, and I wouldn’t be surprised if you can. But will you be able to go on the air again? I don’t know.’”
