A benefit for the family of late broadcaster and writer ASHTON "KIMO AKANE" kAIUWAILANI will bring together a virtual "who's who" of HAWAII entertainers, who will perform at  the POMAIKAI BALLROOM at DOLE CANNERY on FRIDAY, JAN. 17th, the HONOLUL STAR ADVERTISER  reports. KAIUWAILANI died DEC. 30th after suffering apparent cardiac arrest earlier in the month (NET NEWS, 12/31)

Confirmed entertainers so far include the BROS. CAZIMERO, KALAPANA, JAKE SHIMABUKURO, JEFF RASMUSSEN, KUPAOA, MAUNALUA, BEN VEGAS & MAILA GIBSON, and the GREGG HAMMER BAND, though more are expected, according to co-organizer WAYNE MARIA.

Tickets are $35 online or via charge-by-phone at 550-8457, and will be $45 at the door.
