FCC Commissioner MICHAEL O'RIELLY has appointed COURTNEY REINHARD, the Legal Advisor for wireless issues for fellow Commissioner AJIT PAI, as his own Senior Legal Advisor and Chief of Staff.
O'RIELLY said, “I am so pleased that Ms. REINHARD has agreed to join my staff. For almost 15 years, Ms. REINHARD has been a friend, colleague, and informal advisor to me. I know that I will benefit greatly from her background and expertise when addressing the challenges facing the Commission. Commissioner PAI is exceptionally gracious to allow me to poach from his talented staff.”
PAI added, "COURTNEY has been a longtime friend and an invaluable member of my team, and I will miss her wise counsel. While I am sorry to lose her, I am pleased that she will remain a colleague, and I am confident that she will serve Commissioner O’RIELLY with distinction.”
FCC Commissioner MICHAEL O'RIELLY then made two more staff appointments, taking the "Interim" tag off the titles of two of his advisors. AMY BENDER has been officially named Legal Advisor for wireline issues, and ERIN MCGRATH is now officially Legal Advisor for wireless, public safety, and international issues.
O'RIELLY said, “Ms. BENDER and Ms. MCGRATH are talented attorneys and dedicated public servants with incredible expertise in their respective issue areas. They played important roles in getting my office up and running, and I am thrilled and exceptionally grateful that they have agreed to join my office.”
On BENDER, O'RIELLY said, “AMY’s knowledge of wireline issues is second to none and I will benefit from her good counsel as the Commission addresses such vitally important issues as IP transitions and universal service reform.” And on MCGRATH, he added, "ERIN has a unique command of both wireless and media issues and will be an incredible asset as the Commission tackles many novel wireless matters, not the least of which is the upcoming incentive auctions.”
