WARNER BROS. RECORDS has appointed PETER THEA as EVP/Creative Operations. Based at the company’s BURBANK headquarters, THEA will report to WBR Chairman/CEO CAMERON STRANG.
“PETER comes to us with more than three decades of wide-ranging experience,” said STRANG. “From his early days as a recording engineer to his accomplishments as an attorney and most recently as an A&R executive, he boasts an expansive blend of talents -- from making records to making deals -- as well as great relationships throughout both the artistic and business communities. With PETER on board, along with new WBR President DAN MCCARROLL, we have expanded our already fantastic, highly dedicated team. The coming year at WBR promises to be very exciting, both for breaking new artists and taking established names to new heights.”
“I am thrilled to be joining CAMERON, DAN and the entire WBR team,” said THEA. “It’s very exciting to be at a label I have admired for so many years for its passionate devotion to artists and their music. It’s a dynamic time in the company’s great history, and I look forward to being a part of the next chapter and working with everyone to develop long-term musical careers for WBR’s present and future roster of exceptional talent.”
