SHINE THE LIGHT, INC. is selling FM translator K226CA/DETROIT LAKES, MN to LEIGHTON ENTERPRISES, INC. for $12,520. The translator will rebroadcast Talk KDLM-A/DETROIT LAKES.
In other filings with the FCC, FAMILY LIFE MINISTRIES, INC. is selling the construction permits for FM translators W244DB/SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, PA and W223CC/WILKES-BARRE, PA to GEOS COMMUNICATIONS for $2,000.
JENNIFER CREMEENS has applied for a Silent STA for KBBB/BAIRD, TX due to transmitter problems.
AZURE MEDIA, LLC has requested an extension of its Silent STAs for FM translators W299AU/ZOLFO SPRINGS, FL and W283AM/ARCADIA, FL while it arranges a new site and lease.
DKS COMMUNICATIONS, INC. has closed on the sale of Adult Hits WDKM/ADAMS, WI to CASPER COMMUNICATIONS, LLC for $235,000.
And EASTERN SIERRA BROADCASTING has closed on the sale of the construction permit for KCKQ-A/RENO to LOTUS RADIO CORP. for $26,000.
Also, KONA COAST RADIO, LLC has applied to move currently Silent KIMI/HUMBOLDT, IA to MALVERN, IA due to the downgrade of the station, which has attempted to sign on in the OMAHA market but has been restricted due to interference with aviation at OFFUTT AFB, reports NORTHPINE.COM. KONA COAST previously applied to move the facility to SIDNEY, IA, which was granted, but the move required a downgrade to 13 kw, and the proposed facility, even with a directional antenna, would not cover SIDNEY with a 70 dBu signal, hence the application to change community of license to MALVERN and change to a nondirectional pattern. The frequency was home to a previous attempt by CONNOISSEUR MEDIA to sign on a new FM at PACIFIC JUNCTION, IA, which was also thwarted by FAA problems and led to the Commission issuing a refund of CONNOISSEUR's auction bid.
NORTHPINE.COM also notes that CLEAR CHANNEL has obtained an STA for an "emergency antenna" to put WDTW-A/DETROIT back on the air to keep it alive while its donation to the MINORITY MEDIA AND TELECOMMUNICATIONS COUNCIL pends. The station went dark on DECEMBER 31st, 2013.
