Cox Media Group Tampa Has Three Programming Openings

COX MEDIA GROUP/TAMPA has three new programming positions as a result of organizational changes following TIM CLARKE’s recent promotion to Dir./Digital Audience and PD MICHAEL SHARKEY’s departure.
“CMG has invested the last four years in creating some of the biggest and most successful brands in TAMPA BAY,” said VP/Market Manager KEITH LAWLESS. “This is a very unique opportunity that CMG/TAMPA has not seen in decades. The entire CMG family is eager to welcome the next programming leaders to help take these big brands to the next level.”
The following three positions are currently available.
CMG/TAMPA OM: This new position will oversee all programming and content for CMG/TAMPA’s six brands. This individual will oversee all Program Directors and will report to the TAMPA VP/Market Manager. The OM will also have PD responsibilities for one or more stations.
WPOI/WSUN PD: This individual will be responsible for the branding and growth of HOT 101.5 and 97X. This individual must have a track record of successfully developing brands as well as a deep understanding of emerging digital and social platforms. This position will report to the OM.
WHPT (102.5 THE BONE) PD: This person will be responsible for the overall operation of the station. The successful candidate will have a track record of successfully operating talk-based formats, working with high-profile talent, and creatively marketing and growing brands like THE BONE.
