He once again didn't make the HALL OF FAME, but former MINNESOTA TWINS, DETROIT TIGERS, TORONTO BLUE JAYS, and CLEVELAND INDIANS pitching ace JACK MORRIS has a new job, returning to the TWINS' broadcast team as an analyst on NORTHERN LIGHTS Hot AC KTWN (96.3 K-TWIN)/MINNEAPOLIS-ST. PAUL and FOX SPORTS NORTH.
MORRIS will serve as pre- and post-game analyst on FOX SPORTS NORTH as well as game analyst when BERT BLYLEVEN is off; he will co-host manager RON GARDENHIRE's weekly SUNDAY morning show on K-TWIN and the TREASURE ISLAND BASEBALL NETWORK with KRIS ATTEBERRY; and he will co-host "THIS IS TWINS TERRITORY" on SUNDAY mornings on K-TWIN as well as serving as a regular on-air contributor for the station.
MORRIS was a radio broadcaster for TWINS games in 2005-2011. He served as a color analyst for BLUE JAYS games on ROGERS Sports CJCL-A (SPORTSNET 590 THE FAN)/TORONTO and the BLUE JAYS RADIO NETWORK last season. Also leaving the JAYS radio network is former pitcher DIRK HAYHURST, who is pursuing broadcast work in the U.S. and worked the playoffs as a studio analyst for TBS last season.
