The IREDELL COUNTY Zoning Board of Adjustment has rejected DAVIDSON COUNTY BROADCASTING CO.'s application for a special use permit to build a 1,190-foot tower for its Contemporary Christian WWLV (K-LOVE)/LEXINGTON, NC, operated by EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION under an LMA while a $10.5 million sale to EMF pends.
The MOORESVILLE TRIBUNE reports that the tower was to be built on farmland owned by LARRY EDWARDS but generated local opposition and was rejected in a 6-1 vote on THURSDAY night as to be "not in harmonious use" with the surrounding area. The radio station has 30 days to appeal in court.
