CAL STATE-LONG BEACH Jazz KKJZ/LONG BEACH-LOS ANGELES weekend morning “Swingin’ Years” big-band show host CHUCK CECIL is hanging up the headphones.

CECIL told THE LOS ANGELES TIMES, “it really hurts me to stop, but I feel I can’t continue and do justice to the musicians who made the music.”

The station will fill the time slots with market veteran JOHNNY MAGNUS, who will host a new program called “Swing Time.”
