CBS RADIO Sports WIP-F/PHILADELPHIA's WING BOWL 22 was won by NEBRASKA professional competitive eater MOLLY SCHUYLER. The 125-pound mother of four set a new WING BOWL record by downing 363 wings in 30 minutes, obliterating the record set by TAKERU KOBAYASHI of 337 wings in 2012. Runner-up PATRICK BERTOLETTI also passed KOBAYASHI's previous record with 356 wings, followed by last year's champion JAMIE THE BEAR with 304, top local eater and three-time champion JONATHAN "SUPER" SQUIBB with 252, U.S. MALE with 210, and UNCLE RICO with 208.
The annual event, devised by morning co-hosts ANGELO CATALDI and AL MORGANTI as a way to do something interesting on SUPER BOWL weekend when the EAGLES failed to make the big game, has grown into a sold-out event at WELLS FARGO CENTER, home of the SIXERS and FLYERS.
