LOUISVILLE PUBLIC RADIO Triple A WFPK/LOUISVILLE is partnering with WORLD CAFE to highlight the LOUISVILLE music scene on the nationally syndicated program. “SENSE OF PLACE: LOUISVILLE” will air on THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 20th.
The SENSE OF PLACE series gives listeners an idea of the past and present of the local music scene for cities across the globe and pointers for musicians or music-lovers planning a visit.
"From the city's great musical ambassadors, MY MORNING JACKET, and from my many visits there I knew that some great music has come out of LOUISVILLE. I discovered so much more thanks to the folks at WFPK. This is going to be a super show," said WORLD CAFE host DAVID DYE.
WORLD CAFE is broadcast on more than 200 stations across the country through NPR Music and more than 500,000 listeners tune into the program each week.
