ALOHA STATION TRUST LLC Country WFRE/FREDERICK, MD’s DAVE CONRAD will be joined by new co-host PAULA YOUNG for the station’s new afternoon show, "THE FREE COUNTRY FREE RIDE" from 3-7p (ET).
YOUNG had previously been working part-time for WFRE, with prior stops at CLEAR CHANNEL Country WMZQ/WASHINGTON D.C. and traffic reports in several markets. "THE FREE COUNTRY FREE RIDE" launches TODAY (2/10) and PD DON BRAKE tells ALL ACCESS that the show will "focus on the two things FREDERICK listeners need most on their afternoon commute: more music and more traffic reports."
PAULA replaces HOLLY McCALL who is now handling middays for TIMES & NEWS PUBLISHING Country WGTY/YORK, PA (NET NEWS 11/25). Other changes at WFRE include the exit of weekend personality JOSH MARKOVITZ. His time slot will be absorbed by expanding the shifts of ZACH MORRIS and SUE SNYDER.
JOSH is seeking his next opportunity in the WASHINGTON, BALTIMORE, or PHILADELPHIA vicinity. In addition to WFRE, his experience includes GEORGETOWN UNIVERSITY’s student radio station WGTB/WASHINGTON and CUMULUS Rock WQXA/HARRISBURG. Reach MARKOVITZ at here.
