WYGC/Ocala Flips To Classic Hits As 104.9 Wow FM

JVC MEDIA has split WYGC (MY COUNTRY 104.9)/HIGH SPRINGS-OCALA, FL off from its simulcast of sister Country WTRS (MY COUNTRY 102.3)/GAINESVILLE and has flipped WYGC to Classic Hits as "104.9 WOW FM."  A live/local air staff will be installed "with no automation or robo-jocks," according to a press release from JVC.

VP/Market Manager SHANE REEVE said, “As a fan of this type of music genre, it was unbelievable to me no one in the GAINESVILLE/OCALA market was providing an outlet for the greatest hits from the '60s, '70s and '80s.  104.9 WOW FM will be community and promotionally active with charity events, concerts, and amazing giveaways.  When you turn this radio station on, you will immediately recognize one of your favorite songs, and have a great listening experience!”
