CBS RADIO Hot AC WBZZ (100.7 STAR)/PITTSBURGH has teamed up with the SALVATION ARMY to launch their "MAN IN A BOX" campaign to help the homeless.
STAR evening host FLICK will be living outside in downtown PITTSBURGH from TUESDAY (2/25) to WEDNESDAY (2/27) to experience the hardships of being homeless first hand and raise awareness of the SALVATION ARMY's RED SHIELD CAMPAIGN and raise donations for the cause. He will have minimal shelter and heat, and will be eating the same food provided to the homeless by THE SALVATION ARMY EMERGENCY DISASTER SERVICES PROGRAM. FLICK will raise funds through corporate donations, on-site kettle collections, and by encouraging the public to donate online via text through WWW.STARPITTSBURGH.COM.
According to WBZZ evening host FLICK of the FLICK AND KELLY SHOW, "The issue of homelessness is serious and deserves our attention and compassion. My hope is that through my living and broadcasting on the street, the public will become better aware and support the efforts of the SALVATION ARMY."
