The NEW YORK METS will wear a patch on their uniforms this season to honor the late broadcaster RALPH KINER, who died FEBRUARY 6th at 91 (NET NEWS 2/6).
The circular black patch shows a silver microphone with the words "RALPH KINER 1922-2014." The team will also establish a "KINER's Korner" section at the METS Hall of Fame and Museum at CITI FIELD, and is painting a KINER logo on the grass behind home plate at its Spring Training home, TRADITION FIELD in PORT ST. LUCIE, FL.
