For its first fiscal quater of '06, NAPSTER reported a net loss of $9.8 million compared with a year-earlier loss of $19.9 million. Revenue rose to $28.1 million from $21 million as the company struggles to find a working business model in the wake of its move to a free, ad-based service (see NET NEWS 5/1). As subscription numbers decline (down 7% for the quarter), CEO CHRIS GOROG has not ruled out a sale a of the company, reports REUTERS.
