STANFORD UNIVERSITY and WARNER MUSIC GROUP are behind a free online course, “Creativity: Music to My Ears,” which will be taught by successful artists in the industry, AUDIOINKRADIO.COM reports. LINKIN PARK multi-instrumentalist MIKE SHINODA and FUN. frontman NATE RUESS are among the rock stars set to help with the courses, as well as TEGAN AND SARA, JASON MRAZ and JOSH GROBAN.
The six-week course is for more than just musicians—the class will strive to use music as a “tool for unlocking creative potential,” and each of the classes will deal with a different facet of creativity. The official course description states, “No musical talent is required — just an interest in exploring the role that music plays in our lives.”
The class starts on APRIL 2nd; students will be required to complete a project that will take roughly five hours to finish.
