Former financial talk radio host BARBRA ALEXANDER has been convicted on 28 felony counts arising from a $4 million Ponzi scheme, reports the MONTEREY HERALD.
ALEXANDER hosted "MONEY DOTS" on CLEAR CHANNEL Talk KION-A/MONTEREY and other stations with partner MICHAEL SWANSON, who was previously convicted. The charges involved their company APS FUNDING, which offered a 12%-interest investment vehicle from which ALEXANDER, SWANSON, and BETH PINA allegedly took money for personal use, including ALEXANDER allegedly remodeling her kitchen and then inviting clients to a party in celebration of the renovations.
