ENTERCOM Alternative KNRK (94/7 fm)/PORTLAND, OR night-timer/Imaging Dir. SQUID VICIOUS is exiting after nearly 16 years at the station. His last day at 94/7 fm is FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 28th.
SQUID told ALL ACCESS, "After 16 glorious years. I'm retiring from radio. I'm leaving because I have an opportunity to have a great future with my family. Every day I've worked in radio I've had two jobs, juggling two jobs for 16 years is really really hard and way more hours then I get paid. But I have a chance to be a full-time bus driver at TRIMET for the PORTLAND METRO and with their job security, retirement and benefits it's something I can't pass up."
94/7 fm PD MARK HAMILTON added, "Great guy, will always remain a member of the 94/7 family, super close with all of us of course and wish him nothing but the best with his decision."
HAMILTON is looking for a night jock with imaging skills. Send your stuff to: mhamilton@947.fm.
