The ASSOCIATION OF INDEPENDENT MARKET STATIONS (AIMS) has elected FEDERATED MEDIA COO TONY RICHARDS as its new President, replacing GOLDEN WEST BROADCASTING (CANADA) owner ELMER HILDEBRAND.
RICHARD said, “AIMS has a rich history of outstanding, independent broadcasters including KERBY CONFER, MYRON JONES, MEL COOPER, TRISH GARBER, DICK CHAPIN, ELMER HILDEBRAND, JERRY ZIMMER, JOHN DILLE, JIM TASZAREK, JERRY LEE, and many others. The organization was founded in the mid 1950’s when large networks were being formed such as ABC, RKO, NBC, CBS and more. It’s an honor to be their chairman.”
