LOS ANGELES ANGELS OF ANAHEIM owner ARTE MORENO's Spanish Talk-Sports KMXE-A (switching calls to KLAA-A TODAY) (AM830)/ORANGE-LOS ANGELES continues its move towards English-language programming by adding ANAHEIM DUCKS hockey game coverage in a three-year deal. The DUCKS have previously been heard on BCA Sports XEPRS-A (THE MIGHTY XX)/ROSARITO-SAN DIEGO. STEVE CARROLL will return as play-by-play announcer and BRENT SEVERIN will be back as analyst; all games will be aired live for the first time in the team's history.
KLAA is also adding horse racing shows in ENGLISH for SATURDAY and SUNDAY mornings. The station announced earlier this week that it will carry PREMIERE's GLENN BECK 7-9a PT weekdays; it continues to carry Spanish-language ANGELS coverage and talk the rest of the day.
