SONY NASHVILLE will release a collaboration album with the DOOBIE BROTHERS (including MICHAEL McDONALD) and several Country artists such as TOBY KEITH, BRAD PAISLEY, ZAC BROWN BAND, SARA EVANS, CHRIS YOUNG, JERROD NIEMANN, LOVE AND THEFT, and more.
The album will contain new recordings of the DOOBIE BROTHERS’ biggest hits and when asked when the album would be finished, DOOBIE BROTHERS’ TOM JOHNSTON told BILLBOARD, "There are a couple of nuts and bolts that still need to be tightened, but it's pretty close.” For now, the track listing is still being kept under wraps.
"I love their sound, and the enduring appeal and influence of the DOOBIES runs deep," said SONY MUSIC NASHVILLE Chairman/CEO GARY OVERTON. "Artists have been telling me how excited they are to be a part of this project, and that alone speaks volumes about the amazing heritage of music that the DOOBIE BROTHERS have created."
