Univision Q2 Revenues Rise

UNIVISION second quarter net revenues jumped 24.7% to $634 million, with pro forma net income up 38.2% to $116.6 million (34 cents/diluted share). Television, the revenues of which rose 37.9%, drove the company's overall growth, with the WORLD CUP boosting sales. Radio revenues rose 5% to $104.3 million, with music slipping from $48.9 to $30.3 million.
The company, in the process of being acquired by an investor group headed by producer HAIM SABAN, has as a result discontinued issuing guidance.
