Nielsen's Karen Kornbluh Nominated To Broadcasting Board Of Governors

KAREN KORNBLUH, who joined NIELSEN HOLDINGS N.V. as EVP/External Affairs in DECEMBER, is being nominated to the BROADCASTING BOARD OF GOVERNORS by President BARACK OBAMA.

KORNBLUH's nomination was announced by President OBAMA late last week.  She will serve a term expiring AUGUST 13th, 2016, filling the seat vacated by MICHAEL P. MEEHAN, whose term has expired.

She also serves as a member and Senior Fellow for Digital Policy of the Council on Foreign Relations and worked at the FCC in 1995-98; most recently, she served as Ambassador for the U.S. to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development in PARIS in 2009-12 and as Policy Director for President OBAMA while he was still Senator from ILLINOIS in 2005-08.
