Kudos to HALL COMMUNICATIONS Country WPCV (97 COUNTRY)/LAKELAND,FL on their stellar "COUNTRY CARES FOR ST. JUDE KIDS RADIOTHON" results. The station brought in $173,874 throughout the two-day event on THURSDAY (2/27) and FRIDAY (2/28). WPCV OM/PD MIKE JAMES tells ALL ACCESS, "to date, 97 COUNTRY has raised over 2 million dollars to help kids fight cancer at ST. JUDE."
Also, Congratulations to the staff at FEDERATED MEDIA Country WQHK (K105)/ FORT WAYNE, IN on their "COUNTRY CARES" efforts last week! On THURSDAY (2/27) and FRIDAY (2/28), K105 raised $103,578. As a "thank you" to all listeners who became "Partners In Hope" for the event, the station will host a free acoustic concert with RED BOW RECORDS' JOE NICHOLS this WEDNESDAY (3/5).
Congratulations are also in order for THE RADIO PEOPLE Country WUSJ/JACKSON, MS, whose listeners raised $416,209 to benefit The BLAIR E. BATSON HOSPITAL FOR CHILDREN at the UNIVERSITY OF MISSISSIPPI MEDICAL CENTER. The station's radiothon ran WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 26th Through FRIDAY FEBRUARY 28th.
