Legendary broadcaster DAVE KLAHR passed away (8/3) with his family at his side in FLORIDA after a battle with cancer. KLAHR was at one time the PD at WFIL-F/PHILADELPHIA when it was called "POPULAR 102" and transitioned to WIOQ (Q102) when it was sold. KLAHR was a former PD at WEEI-F/BOSTON, and WYNY/NEW YORK, and had a big play in installing the Soft Rock format at WMGK (MAGIC 103)/PHILADELPHIA, as well as serving as a Regional VP for METRO NETWORKS.
