REPUBLIC RECORDS announces the hire of RON CERRITO as SVP/Rock Formats replacing DENNIS BLAIR (NET NEWS 11/13/13). With over two decades of experience at the executive level, CERRITO will oversee promotions at the rock and alternative radio formats for a bevy of artists across the company's expansive roster. Most recently, CERRITO served as Head of PROSPECT PARK RECORDINGS until JANUARY 2014.
REPUBLIC EVP CHARLIE WALK said, "RON's diverse major label and entrepreneurial experience brings us what I call the ultimate 'Intrepreneurial' executive, which represents the spirit and tone of REPUBLIC today. His strategic savvy makes him the perfect executive to work alongside our artist and partners."
"From the moment I met Mr. CERRITO, we instantly clicked," added CEO MONTE LIPMAN. "He shares a similar mindset, and he's devout in ushering in the next wave of artists. It's incredible to have him join the family."
About joining the team, CERRITO exclaims, "I've always admired REPUBLIC RECORDS. They instill an entrepreneurial spirit within the framework of a major label. Not only do they embody that independent mindset, but they possess a magic like talent for finding and breaking hit records. I have a long history with MR. WALK, and I'm thrilled to be reunited with him. CHARLIE lives in the future tense. His swift, decisive style and knowledge of music has always driven me to be better. I'm also honored to have the privilege of working with MONTE LIPMAN for the first time. MONTE’s vision, REPUBLIC RECORDS, is a modern, evolved music company. There is no better place to begin the next chapter of my career."
