RENO MEDIA GROUP (RMG) has launched a new Country station in RENO, NV on the former Triple A KOLC (LITTLE CITY 97.3) frequency. Branding for the new station, which hit the air at 12p (MT) TODAY (3/5), is "TEN COUNTRY- ALWAYS TEN IN A ROW." "LITTLE CITY" has moved to KLCA HD3 and RMG's new 92.5 translator.
According to a post on the station’s FACEBOOK page, "NORTHERN NEVADA has a brand new Country radio station. Unlike the other Country stations, we play lots and lots of music -- ALWAYS at least 10 songs in a row! We think the other Country stations are OK, and we have a great deal of respect for the heritage of KBUL, but they just talk a lot. Not us. We play lots of great Country music, all day and all night. So please give us a listen. We hope you'll agree that we're a nice addition to the Country music scene here in NORTHERN NEVADA. Oh, we should also mention that we're locally-owned and operated, and proud to be part of NEVADA!"
KOLC PD BILL SCHULZ tells ALL ACCESS that for now, the station remains jockless.
