The PUBLIC RADIO PROGRAM DIRECTORS ASSOCIATION (PRPD) has elected three new board members. Joining the board are WISCONSIN PUBLIC RADIO's MICHAEL ARNOLD, UNIVERSITY RADIO FOUNDATION noncommercial News-Talk WFAE/CHARLOTTE's DALE SPEAR, and the UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS' noncommercial News-Talk KUT/AUSTIN's KEITH NEISLER.
The three will replace NPR DIGITAL's TODD MUNDT, UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON noncommercial News-Talk KUOW/SEATTLE's JEFFREY HANSEN, and KQED, INC. noncommercial News-Talk KQED-F/SAN FRANCISCO's JO ANNE WALLACE, who did not stand for re-election, in APRIL.
PRPD President ARTHUR COHEN said, “The three new board members bring a depth of knowledge and width of experience that will help PRPD remain vital in this changing media world. They have worked across public radio’s formats, stations of all sizes and budget sizes, reflecting the varied PRPD constituency. We were fortunate to have such a large number of highly qualified candidates which resulted in a record number of ballots and a very close election. We are excited to welcome our new board members.”
