WKAL/Rome, NY Returns With Talk Format

Talkin'

After extended periods of silence and various formats, TUNE IN BROADCASTING's WKAL-A/ROME, NY has returned to the air with a Talk format, reports the ONEIDA DAILY DISPATCH/ROME OBSERVER.

The station was WKAL from 1046 through 1988, when it became a simulcast of Country WFRG-F, and later went through stints with Oldies and satellite Religion.  TUNE IN bought the station from BIBLE BROADCASTING NETWORK in 2011 and went through periods of silence and test formats before officially launching the Talk format on TUESDAY with BOB CAIN in mornings, syndicated talk and features, and plans for local sports coverage.
