JACOBS MEDIA has been dropping pearls of insight from its TECHSURVEY 10 for over two months, leading up to FRED JACOBS' comprehensive presentation at the WORLDWIDE RADIO SUMMIT 2014 at the HOLLYWOOD ROOSEVELT HOTEL on APRIL 3rd at noon. Eight weeks ago, JACOBS reported on early data that questioned the listeners' use of clock radio to wake up in the morning (NET NEWS, 1/20).
"When it comes to waking up, Millennials are the most likely consumers to stir out of bed to sound of a cell phone ringtone," he said in today's update. "Boomers, on the other hand, are the most likely to choose a clock radio blaring a local radio station."
Stay tuned for more insight to come.
That's just the tip of an enormous iceberg of revelations JACOBS will unveil in TECHSURVEY 10, the largest radio survey of all major formats and the results of their listeners’ habits concerning preferences in broadcast, digital, device. Pressing questions that will be answered include: What are listeners' likes/turn-offs? What makes them interact with radio on social media? What are the rising and falling platforms? And most importantly, what steps does radio need to take to keep a winning edge with listeners?
This will be one of many must-attend events at the WORLDWIDE RADIO SUMMIT 2014, held at the HOLLYWOOD ROOSEVELT HOTEL on APRIL 2nd-4th. You can check out the full agenda here. Don't miss it!
