CUMULUS Sports WGVX-WRXP-WGVZ (105 THE TICKET)/MINNEAPOLIS afternoon show with MIKE MORRIS and BOB SANSEVERE features a weekly segment, "HOCKEY NIGHT IN MINNESOTA," with high school senior JACK JABLONSKI, who was paralyzed by a check during a high school hockey game in 2011.
Last WEDNESDAY, the segment's guest was MICHELLE BEADLE, who recently returned to ESPN after a stint with NBC SPORTS NETWORK, and knowing that JABLONSKI has a crush on the "SPORTSNATION" co-host, MORRIS and SANSEVERE nudged JABLONSKI into asking BEADLE to his senior prom ... and BEADLE enthusiastically accepted. "Seriously, I would love it," she told JABLONSKI, warning him, "no alcoholic beverages, JACK. I will be watching."
OM SCOTT JAMESON said upon JABLONSKI's hiring, "JACK's inspirational story illustrates how a positive outlook on life and a true love of sports can lead to new opportunities. JACK impressed us with his maturity and ability to deliver quality hockey commentary. We're offering him a chance to explore the media business to see if it's something he may pursue in college and beyond."
