The NEW YORK DAILY NEWS is reporting what chatter in the NEW YORK market has been anticipating: former WABC-A and WOR-A/NEW YORK host JOHN GAMBLING is joining SALEM Talk WNYM-A (AM 970 THE ANSWER)/NEW YORK for 11a-1p (ET) weekdays, beginning APRIL 14th.

GAMBLING left WOR in DECEMBER, replaced briefly by the syndicated ELLIOTT SEGAL show; WNYM GM JERRY CROWLEY said that after GAMBLING left WOR, CROWLEY "begged and begged" GAMBLING to join his station "and it paid off."
