WWMX's Maria Dennis Announces She Has Leukemia

CBS RADIO Hot AC WWMX (MIX 106.5)/BALTIMORE midday goddess MARIA DENNIS joined the morning show TODAY (3/20), and explained why she's been off the air recently.

"I am in the hospital," DENNIS said. "I have just been diagnosed with leukemia. It’s a mind-blower. It really is a mind-blower. Last week, I went in because I needed to get a routine colonoscopy. My blood work came back all over the ballpark, and they didn’t know why. So they did further tests, one thing led to another, and they decided that I have A.L.L., which is leukemia. It was a shock to me. But you know what? I’m going to beat this."
