Condolences to family and friends of singer and radio talk show host RICHARD HAYES, who died MARCH 10th in LOS ANGELES, according to the PHILADELPHIA INQUIRER. He was 84.
HAYES, the father of CUMULUS Talk KABC-A/LOS ANGELES PD DREW HAYES, was a recording artist in the 1940s and 1950s with several hits on MERCURY RECORDS. After recording with singer KITTY KALLEN, he became a radio and TV personality, hosting TV shows in the 1960s and 1970s, including "NAME THAT TUNE," "ALL ABOUT FACES," and "THE BABY GAME."
He then hosted at WMCA-A/NEW YORK and at WWDB and WCAU-A/PHILADELPHIA through 1990, when WCAU flipped to Oldies.
